Question:

“Do I need to add a lead substitute to my gas?”

Answer:

No. Lead substitutes are nothing but octane boosters, and with the 6.5 to 1 compression on the 8N, you certainly don’t need high octane. The 8N valve seats are hardened inserts and will not be harmed by unleaded fuel at all.
